The microMount with cold shoe spud provides an easy convenient way to  attach and position a shoe-mounted accessory to any 15mm rail. For the Canon EOS C300 this includes the C300-supplied  rotating monitor with integrated XLR inputs.  

4" Grip Rod
Often times distance between the rails and the hot shoe accessory is neccessary, be it for balance or space restraint. Adding a 4" Grip rod will let you relocate the microMount w/cold shoe spud 4" in any direction from the rail.
